I am delighted that the Para Swimming World Series Fuji-Shizuoka 2026 will be held here in Shizuoka City. On behalf of our citizens, I extend my heartfelt welcome to the athletes, officials, and visitors coming from around the world. As a World Series event
held in Japan, this competition carries great significance, and I warmly welcome all participants.
Shizuoka City is blessed with a rich natural environment. Supported by a mild climate, abundant greenery, and pristine waters, the city offers beautiful scenery that changes with the seasons. Shizuoka City is also home to a distinctive food culture, including
Shizuoka tea, which ranks among the highest in Japan in terms of production volume, fresh seafood such as whitebait and sakura shrimp, and local specialties like wasabi and mandarin oranges.
To all the athletes competing in this event, I sincerely hope that you will fully demonstrate the results of your daily training and deliver outstanding performances as you strive to achieve your individual goals. During your stay, I also hope you will take
the opportunity to experience not only the competition itself, but also the magnificent presence of Mt Fuji, the many attractions of Shizuoka City, and the warm hospitality of its people.
In closing, I would like to express my deep respect and gratitude to the Japanese Para-Swimming Federation and all others involved for their dedication in making this event possible. I wish for the utmost success of the Para Swimming World Series Fuji-Shizuoka 2026 and offer these words of welcome.
