Welcome to Shizuoka Prefecture.

I am truly delighted that the Para SwimmingWorld Series Fuji-Shizuoka 2026 will once again be held
here in our prefecture. It is a great pleasure to welcome Para swimmers from around the world. On
behalf of the people of Shizuoka, I extend my warmest greetings to you all.

The dedication and determination of Para athletes inspire people everywhere. The way you continue to
challenge yourselves and pursue excellence brings courage and hope to many, while also deepening
understanding of Para sports and expanding the circle of support for all Para athletes.

This competition is especially meaningful, as it serves as a preparatory event for theAsian Para Games
Aichi-Nagoya 2026 and also stands as an important step on the journey toward the Los Angeles 2028
Paralympic Games.We are honored that Shizuoka has been chosen to host such a significant event, and
we hope that this competition will further promote the values of diversity and inclusion.

Shizuoka City, home to this world series venue, is a place of great natural beauty and rich culture, with
magnificent views of Suruga Bay and Mount Fuji, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. During
your time here, I hope you will enjoy not only the competition, but also the warm hospitality of our
people, our wonderful local cuisine, and the many charms of Shizuoka.

All of us in Shizuoka are cheering for your success. I sincerely hope that each of you will perform to
